AO-40 RUDAK Whole Orbit Data

Here is the first look at WOD collected by RUDAK-A on May 14, 2001.  This is a quick chart of the working CAN node temperature sensors for most of one orbit.  These data show the temperatures at various locations around the satellite for a period of several hours.

The RUDAK processors can collect and save to their file system telemetry data from any point within the RUDAK experiment and from these temperature sensors.  RUDAK also sees all the data produced by the IHU because the data stream that is sent on the 400 bps PSK beacon also comes to RUDAK.  Software is not in place to extract the A blocks and store the IHU based telemetry but may be added in the future.  At times those frames may be seen on the RUDAK downlink because it can resend them via it's 9k6 FSK modulator.   Those 512 byte IHU frames are broken up into three packets less than 240 bytes long for retransmission by RUDAK.  That capability is often turned off when other testing is taking place in order to reduce the amount of data on the downlink.
