This is the EME and weak signal array at W6OAL

 

Figure 1: The weak signal and EME array at W6OAL (The Olde Antenna Lab). The array is on top of a 55' motorized crank up tower. Only the bottom 4 Yagis elevate.

Figure 2: The linear actuator on the W6OAL array. In this photo the array is elevated about 45 degrees. The leg of the cross tower section closest to the mast is attached to the mast with a large barn door hinge. The linear actuator is the black tube with the larger motor housing on its upper end. The fixed point on the actuator tube is attached to a bracket that extends a couple of inches from the mast. The end of the moving part of the arm (silver in this photo) is attached to a bracket which is attached to one of the legs of the tower section used as a cross boom. As the actuator arm retracts it lifts the that leg of the cross tower and elevates the Yagi array.
